Nu e asta cataline! Caci cunosti un gen de muzica ascultandu-l si apoi dandu-ti cu parerea. Manele este un gen de muzica ciudat, un fel de combinatie care s-a impus prea tare in Romania, ceea ce denota cine suntem.

Manele e un gen de muzica locala, melancolica, populista ....

Da ascult dar nu orice manele, conteaza mult atat textul, cat insasi ritmul. Imi plac in general ritmurile orientale, arabesti si in multe manele se regasesc aceste ritmuri.

Eu recunosc, ritmurile arabesti nu prea imi plac. Frefer cele occidentale si asiatice (asia indepartata), aproape toat ce misca si e bun... de la country si electronica (J.M. Jarre, Vangelis, Mike Oldfield) la Feng Shui si muzica traditionala chineza, da nu ma impac cu arabestile mai deloc...

anne... pai .. nu e singurul gen pe care il ascult dar manelele imi plac cel mai mult ... eu sunt din oltenia si la noi se asculta foarte mult... nu toate sunt frumoase dar sunt unele super ... desi in multe este vorba despre bani , faima ... dar sunt unele care chiar au un mesaj frumos .. desi sunt multe dezacoarde ... mi-e imi plac ..

Manele musick is everywhere in Romania. At parties, weddings, at funerals etc. The manele king in Romania is Adi Wonder Retard, head singer in Burzum, but he was dethroned by other piece of "rahat" so-called singer (name is of no importance, since they can't sing anyway).bla bla bla

History

Manele are arabian like songs which are played all night long at parties in Oltenia and Moldova provinces of Romania (Heh,... more likely, everywhere). The best manele song is Vecini si dusmani. The main idea of the song is Let's party and don't let the neighbours sleep.

If by some mistake the Romanian children escape the dreaded Manele Virus they are doomed to live dupa blocuri or "in the 'hood" where they live a life of joy and liberation under the influence of weak narcotics like aurolac. ( most of it its true but the drug part si bullshit-only homeless children use "aurolac" )

The genre had officially launched itself in the early `90`s, with bands like Albatros and shit like that. Meanwhile the songs changed a lot, the music and the lyrics, now most of the "lyrics" are about enemies, bad hearts, butts,

, paray [money], death and life... not about normal people. It is wrong to say that manele is gipsy music because the traditional gipsy music is sung by Shukar Collective and not by cardiac L. Guta or whory Carmen Serban.

It is to be remembered that only SOME Romanian people listen to this kind of music. There are some others that don't agree with it. Moreover, they are ashamed that this kind of music is associated in an European context with Rumanian culture.

This is a specialised/professional point of view:

Manele genre is a very broad mix of DERIVED styles (not even original ones). Though at its roots you can identify musical linguistic elements of gipsy, oriental and popular music, they are heavily modified in a historycal laboratory of decadence, lack of culture and education, destructive influence from a dishonest, deceptive and fraudulent society (as communists left behind). Moreover, the "new" society which quickly developed unbalanced, without an elite class, based on wild, savage force and corruption, a society adequate for chaos and self-will, nurtured the vulgar people's ignoble, infamous and obscene tastes which led - in music - to a mass (almost) preference for such a decadent "music".

What's its message?

EGO. Themes: Money making; inflicting enviousness to nearby people; defeating enemies; ruling and leading friends; living only after heart's content, whithout notice of anybody...

LAMENTATION. Themes: Cheating wives, lost loves; injustice, inequity from all others, while first person beeing always righteous...

OBSCENITY. Themes: Lust, wish, sexual desire; abject depictioning of women as a "bag" of

, ass and pussy...

IMORALITY. Themes: Drinking; cheating as the most clever way of life (jmekeri); stealing; even using drugs; I won't mention smoking (it's too small); Use of force for any need or disobedience;...

FALSE LOVE. Any analysis of this theme will lead to the sexual or interrested "love". In the best case, manelic love will last up to the next woman, which will receive a temporary first, "immortal" place...
